Branch Manager Inspecting The Office

I sure spend a lot of time trying to. photograph this Tufted Titmouse. He didn't take off but danced around making it very difficult. This photo is a little dark but I like how it turned out.

It’s A Viceroy

It was sure good to see this Viceroy butterfly. I have seen a couple of them this season but this is the first one I was able to photograph in 2025. Now I need to see a Monarch.

No Fear?

This was an interesting expeience. This buck was just off the trail. Shortly after I shot this photo we walked by him. It was just a few feet between us but he ignored us. I actually find that concerning. A bit more fear of humans is likely better for his longivity.

Standing Tall

We went on a butterfly walk yesterday with a group. It was lead by a real expert on nature from Miami County Park District. Near the end of the hike I totally missed this Green Heron but it was spotted by soneone in the group. Luck for me, he stayed in the same place long enough for me to get a decent photo. This is the 1st one we have seen this year.
