One day early this week we saw three fawns. Two of them were at one location, the other a few miles away at a second location. In both cases there was no mom .. MIA mom.

This was an interesting expeience. This buck was just off the trail. Shortly after I shot this photo we walked by him. It was just a few feet between us but he ignored us. I actually find that concerning. A bit more fear of humans is likely better for his longivity.

We don't see many large bucks but this one stopped long enough for a good photo. He was hanging out with several doe's. Very cool.
