Sun On The Lake

This drone shot is a little washed out, but I love the sun reflecting on the water. This Iwas earlier this fall at Kiser Lake State Park. It’s not a big lake, but it looks larger in this view.

Mirror on the Lake

Sunrise was moments away, and dispite the light clouds, it looked like it was going to be beautiful. With a few minutes remaining, the lake suddenly became a large mirror. The lighting was just right, and the clouds and sky reflected off the mirrored surface. I don’t think this photo does it justice. Beautiful beyond words. Every color, every cloud .. it was all on the surface of the lake in great detail.

On loneliness and being alone ...

Loneliness is complex, and for so many it is not a pleasant experience. As the holiday season approaches, it can be overwhelming. Sometimes the lonely feel isolated even when they are surrounded by people. Emotional isolation is real, and difficult for many. The feeling of isolation can create anxiety that is hard for many to understand. This is a great time to reach out and be a friend.

On the other side, I love ‘being alone’ in the morning. I took this picture on a foggy fall morning. I feel this way often. I get so much out of a few minutes in mediation and thoughtful reflection. It's even better if I can be close to nature. Enjoy the outdoors and some time to reflect.

Morning on the Lake

On Labor Day, Teresa and I took a few photos at sunrise at Kiser Lake, near St Paris, Ohio. This was shot just before sunrise, so you get a lot of interesting colors. That is a Blue Heron in the foreground. I saw two of them, but didn’t get many good pictures of them.
