It was super warm out and I expected to see a few butterflies. On the way back to the car, I told Teresa we should have seen our favorite, the Hackberry Emperor. Almost on queue this Hackberry Emperor showeed up.

Well, my app says this is a Little Wood-Satyr butterfly. That is not what the naturalist said it was so I really don't kow. It is cool regardless.

It was great to see a Viceroy butterfly. This is not a monarch, it is a viceroy. We are still not seeing many butterflies but this was great.

We are still seeing a few butterflies but this may be the last Pearl Crescent of 2025 for us. Normally when we see one of them we see many. This one was alone. Good bye my friend.
