Is There A Bear Out There?

Years ago when were visited Yellowstone we did not see any bear (or otters 😁). By midday on our last day I was starting to believe we would not see any this time either. The top photos are a couple landscape shots I captured as we drove in our search.

Then it happened. We saw a line of cars off to the side of the road. A couple told us there was a bear. I sure coud not see any bear.

The night before we heard about a local fisherman that was Mauled by a grizzly not far from our AirBnB. I was not interested in that kind of bear experience, but I continued to try to find this bear. When I looked using my 600mm lens on my camera, I found two of them. The last photo is a black bear. She was a long distance from us. I even added the circle so you know where to look in the photo.

We saw a lot of wildlife on this trip, but left very satisfied. I highly recommend spending as much time as possible at Yellowstone. Its amazing.

We did not see many Elk while at Yellowstone. I did have some elk for dinner one night, but I’ll just stick to the photos.

Hidden Peaks

The weather was not great on the day we drove through the Teton National Forest region. The top two photos are my attempt to capture The Three Tetons up close. The clouds were so low that most of the mountains were hidden from view. I still like these photos.

A few days later, as we drove from Yellowstone to Utah, I shot the bottom photo. It was cloudy and even hazy. I had to doctor the photo to even get this view. I tried :). At least the beautiful peaks were visible.

Bad?

Welcome to Badlands National Park. This is one of the more unique National Parks that Teresa and I have visited.

I shot this photo yesterday. It’s an iPhone Panorama. Check out the colors in the rocks. It was cold and windy, but worth it.

If you can’t view the image drop me a note and I’ll send you a copy.

Zion National Park

This photo is from Zion National Park. The park is large, and a series of large rocks. It’s beautiful. We spent the evening at a Marriot Springhill Suites .. the view here is stunning.  We spend some time at Bryce and at Zion. Both parks are beautiful, but unique. I think I could spend a day or two at each of them.

The photo to the right is the hotel where we spent the evening. This is from their website.

Have a good day!
