Fishing

From my vantage point, the Belted Kingfisher appeared remarkably small and difficult to spot. I managed to capture a few photos before he abruptly leaped off the branch and plunged into the pond. I’m not certain what he caught, but he swiftly ascended to a different branch. I intended to take another photo to observe his catch, but before I could, he flew away.

Nap Time?

This is an interesting photo of a Downy Woodpecker. It appears that he is bracing himself against the tree, or even wedged in there.

November Gold?

We certainly didn't expect to see this American Goldfinch. It is the middle of November. Teresa took this photo.

I’m Here For A Picture

Teresa captured this stunning photo at Big Woods this week. We were actually driving to the feeder near the back of the reserve when the deer unexpectedly appeared, at least that’s what it seemed like. She quickly took this photo .. beautiful.
