Looking For Thanksgiving Dinner?

I almost missed this Red-tailed Hawk but once again, Teresa saw him. I guess he was looking for his Thanksgiving lunch.

I have been trying to take a photo of a Red-tailed Hawk for a while but lately they fly away before I can get a phtoo. This time i was able to get into a good position before he took off.

Fierce Stare

Check out that stare .. she didn't fly away either. We were in the car and can't usually be those close. Normally where we see them while driving like this the hawk takes off. This one never left.

Plotting Her Lunch?

I am like 95% sure this is a Red-tailed Hawk but the angle didn't help confirm that. I see a little red in the tail so that is the key.

She sure looks hungry.

Let’s Crash This Feeder Party

A few days back, we planned to stop and add bird feed to the feeder at Big Woods. As we approached, I could see this hawk in the tree right beside the feeder. I was shocked to see so many birds at the feeder with this hawk right there, eyeballing dinner.

I thought this was a Broad-winged Hawk but Apple Photos sayd it is Red-shouldered Hawk. I uses several apps anbd AI tools and it was different for most of them so who knows. I sure love those eyes.
