Osprey

Over the last few years I have photographed an Osprey maybe 4 or 5 times. They have always been from a distance and generally not great photos. We were hiking the bike trail at Farrington Reserve one day this week when Teresa sa thisn Osprey. She was in a tree where we have often seen Bald Eagles. This was a special opportunity as he was feeding and we watched him fly over the river, catch lunch, and dine in a nearby tree. How cool (unless you were a fish in the river).

Fierce Stare

Check out that stare .. she didn't fly away either. We were in the car and can't usually be those close. Normally where we see them while driving like this the hawk takes off. This one never left.

A Second Chance

This was a second chance photo. I did not see this Red-tailed Hawk and he took off. I saw him flying, but it was too late to get a photo. As it turned out, he parked in a tree not too far away. Thanks, buddy.
