Mother nature dumped a lot of snow on us. I am guessing that its between 6 to 8 inchues right now but we sill are getting snow. We will not be out getting any photos today but thinking of the birds today.

I’m always amazed by the variety of birds we encounter on any given day. Yesterday, we spotted several Downy Woodpeckers —not just a couple, but quite a few. It was a delightful sight.

I just love the sound of a woodpecker .. yes the sound. It echos over the silence and you know it's there. This Downy Woodpecker was catching a snack.
