Epic Perch

We saw these two Bald Eagles not far from the Great Miami River. Their nest is not far from where we took this photo. I wanted a clear shot but this was the best I could do. The fact that they didn't move and I was able to get this on a cloudy day made me very happy.

I have been trying to take a photo of a Red-tailed Hawk for a while but lately they fly away before I can get a phtoo. This time i was able to get into a good position before he took off.

South Bound

This past week we have seen a few Red-winged Blackbird. Most of them flew south a couple months ago and we have not seen or heard any of them. I assume there are flying south from further to our north.

This Northern Cardinal waw playing games with me. He didn't move ... I even asked Teresa if she thought it was a real cardinal. After an eternity he moved his head.
