We were watching the trees for birds .. and very absorbed in this cardinal but when I looked down the trail I saw this beautiful deer watching us. We stoppped and snapped a few photos. She didn't move. We started walking and she took off. I had not noticed but off the trail there was 4 more.

Clearly he found a snack. I took this a few days before the heavy snow. It is melting fast now, even with cold nights.

What a beautiful photo. There is so much more to this than just what you see.
We were hiking at Stillwater Prairie Reserve near one of the ponds when we saw this pair of geese approaching. Their landing on water is always so beautiful. Teresa captured the couple in her photo below.
They stayed while we photograpned other birds. A few more geese arrived.
When we drove off, they all flew away. Kind of cute, but I guess they were just there to check us out.

We were between locations while hiking this week when Teresa spotted these deer. The frost with the sun peaking through the bare trees making for a very interesting photo.
