We are seeing a few more butterflies but less than normal for this time of year. This Pearl Crescent Butterfly was one of a few on this day aa couple weeks ago.

We have seen more Great Blue Herons recently. This is a male and seened to love this perch in this old tree.

Rabbit Hunting?
We have seen so many young rabbits lately. Now the birds of prey seem to have noticed. One day this week we saw a red tailed hawk, one or two cooper hawks and this Bald Eagle .. all at Garbry Big Woods Reserve withing about 3 minutes of time. It was intense.

Hanging Out, Literally

Extra Eyes
This is a Common Wood Nymph Butterfly. I have seen a couple of them this year but this is the best photo I have been able to capture. Love all the eyes.
