Last Of The Pearls?

I love the Pearl Crescent Butterfly. The are so small, but so colorful. The seem to be very social too. This photo was taken about 3 weeks ago .. I guess its obvious that it was on a warm day.

Another Perl

This time of year I think the most common butterfly in this part of the world is Pearl Crescent. They are everwhere. Sometimes we will see 4 or 5 having a party in the grass. It's wild.

The Beautiful Pearl Crescent

If butterflies were rated by some kind of beauty score that used size and color, the Pearl Crescent would be highly rated. They are so small, yet so colorful. This time of year it is common to see large numbers of them here in Ohio. ❤️

Pearls

This happened at about the same time every summer. We start to see fewer birds and an increase in the number of butterflies we photograph. This week it was a large population of Pearl Crescent butterflies. Beautiful small butterfly!
