Fishing: Bird Yoga?

This is a unique photo. I love seeing a Great Blue Heron but this one was really close and his location made it a difficult photo. Even getting a focus on him was difficult. I love how it turned out.

A Diverse Pair

I did not expect to get this photo. We were hiking on a 'butterfly walk' with a naturalist from the Miami County Parks District these two showed up. It's a Black Swallowtail and a Monarch butterfly. The monarch is slightly out of focus but this is one of my favorite photos of this season.

She’s Back

This Pileated Woodpecker showed up a couple days this past week. This is a much better photo than the one I posted last week. I am not saying it is perfect, but much better than the previos post.

They are a large woodpecker .. a large bird period.

Until Next Spring

I have a few butterfly photos I have not posted. The weather is changing fast and I doubt we will see any more until next spring. This is a Painted Lady. We saw a few of them this past week. I will miss their colors .. until next spring.
