Hey, I Was Eating

We do not see Bald Eagles at Big Woods often but this one was feasting on a dead racoon. . She noticed us and took off into the wind, soaring right above us. She landed right above me. I imagine she wasn’t too thrilled that we interrupted her lunch.

Tapping Into The Morning

I just love the sound of a woodpecker .. yes the sound. It echos over the silence and you know it's there. This Downy Woodpecker was catching a snack.

Thin Ice

You cannot see it in this picture but the fishing pond between the deer and me was frozen over. I don't think it was very thick. This deer was walking on it and I was worried she make go through it.
