I have seen a couple Red Spotted Purple butterflies this year but this one looked a bit beat up. I don't know what created this damage but its significant. There was two of them like this. Ouch.

When we arrived at Garbry Big Woods Sanctuary we saw this Red-headed Woodpecker fly away befroe we could take a phoito, We added a suite cake to the feeder and just that fast he came back.

We have seen so many swallowtail butterflies this past week. This one is a Pipevine Swallowtail. I love their color and size. They are so beautiful.
