Painted Lady

I love the colors of the Painted Lady butterfly. This one landed about 20 feet in front of us. As we walked closer, she would take off and put more space between her and us, then repeat.

Delicate Orange Wings On Green

In the past I have photographed many Silver-spotted Skipper. Teresa captured this photo. It appears to be an Essex Skipper. They are also known as a Eurpoean Skipper. We have never seen one of these beautiful butterflies before this year.
