This field sparrow is absolutely crushing the art of doing nothing on a beautiful day. Honestly, his dedication to watching the field is inspiring. 10/10, would watch him watch again.

Field sparrows are absolute drama queens. I guess you could say they are deeply, passionately curious little weirdos. They always have to perch on the highest possible spot just to judge everything happening.

I'm confident this is a sparrow, though it looks quite different from the ones I usually photograph. It might be a field sparrow, but who knows? I guess I need to go back and look at some of my field sparrow photos to compare.

I love taking a photo of Field Sparrows. Their curiosity makes them a friend of my camera. They always take a high spot in the small trees where they can see what is going on. This one was in the trees and a photo was nearly impossibe. He flew to the a higher branch where he could check us out. Of course, that allowed me to take a few photos. I love it.
