Wood Nymph

This is a Common Wood Nymph Butterfly. We usually see them earlier in the spring. This one landed on the hiking path. I love the rich brown color.

I really wanted to capture a photo with his wings openned but no such luck. Next time!

Surprise

I don't know if you have ever attempted to photograph a Cabbage White butterfly, but it is really difficult. They just don't stop. This one did ... so you know what I did.

Lots Of Color

I have a few photos that I have not shared from the fall. I need to try and share those over the next few days. I love this photo. The Painted Lady was enjoying the day, and I was loving the beauty.

A couple days ago I shared a photo of a Painted-Lady Butterfly. This photo is of a American Lady Butterfly. If you click the link you can read about the unique differences in these to beauties.

Go Bucks …😬

We have not seen very many Common Buckeye Butterflies this year, but they are one of my favorites. Great colors, and a plus is the name for us Buckeye fans.
