On A Wire

It is not common for us to see a House Finch but this one was setting on a wire. We were on our way to Big Woods Reserve and I was stopped at an intersection when we saw her. Yes, I took this photo from my car.

Another Red Head

This may be the same Red-headed Woodpecker that I photographed a few weeks ago. It was very close to the the same location.

It was a long shot, so there are not a lot of details in the photo. I still love it.

Taking a Break

This Eastern Phoebe was flying near the Great Miami River when I took a break on the bridge support. Even the birds need to rest.

We have seen so many swallowtail butterflies this past week. This one is a Pipevine Swallowtail. I love their color and size. They are so beautiful.
