Owning It

In past years we have seen Great Blue Herons at this spot (at Big Woods) frequently. It has been a long time since the saw one here. It was great to see. She clearly owns this spot.

Old Man?

I love this photo. This Great Blue Heron looks like an old man. Not just any old man, but an old man fishing. Well, at least that is what came to my mind.

We Missed

What a beautiful Great Blue Heron. We have seen several of late but every time we miss the photo as they fly away. At leat I was able to capture this photo.

This Will Do

While hiking along the Miami River last week we saw three Great Blue Heron. THat was the good news. The bad news? We didn't get a single photo. I had to pull up this old photo just to honor their beauty.
