Not So Common

Looking back over the last 6 years, I really have not seen a lot of Common Yellowthroats. For me, they have not been very common. This year, I am seeing them frequently .. much more common. Beautiful bird with a beautiful song.

A Common Sight

Everyone see those small, white butterflies in their yard. These are Cabbage White Butterflies. As you can see, they are not just white.

The Colors …

You get very different colors when the mallards are in the sun. Love these photos.

Blue Jay

We don't usually see a Blue Jay on the ground like this but there was some bird food from the feeder on the ground and he was on it.

Phoebe

We were hiking near the Great Miami River when we saw this Eastern Phoebe. I am sure they have been around for a few weeks but this is the first one I have been able to photograph this year.

I really prefer to capture birds when they are in trees, grass, flowers .. you get the idea. I like a more natural setting. This railling on the bike trailworked, its just not favorite type of photo.
