Loud Jays

The blue jays are showing up frequenly now. They don't always set where we can photograph them but they are cool to watch. Maybe loud, but cool.

Feathered Fashion, Winter Edition

It was so good to see the snow melt and then to see a pair of Blue Jays. They are loud but beautiful.

Treetop Snack Bar?

There was a lot about this photo that I don't like ... it was cloudy and the lighting was really bad. The angle is really bad. The shadows are bad. All that said, I love this photo. I even caught him snacking.

Missed Photos

I can’t count how many Blue Jay photos we’ve missed recently. We hear them frequently and often see one, but we never manage to take a photo. This one finally gave me a shot. It’s not great, but it’s a start. This is common with all birds right now, but we’re determined to keep trying.

Blending in?

I guess this Blue Jay was tring to blend in or just find something to eat. With those bright colors blending in is not really an option. He was also having a little spat with a pair of woodpeckers.
