This is a Narrow-winged Damselflies (also called a powdered dancer). Sadly the blues did not come out very well. That is sad becasue it was the blue that really attracted me to this beautiful creature.
This is why we both take cameras on our hikes .. check out the second photo. Teresa shot this one. I didn't edit it much ... so much color. I love this photo.

It has been a while since I photograpnhed a Red-bellied Woodpecker. This one came to me .. seriously, We were walking on the bike trail when this woodpecker flew into a tree within feet of us. I didn't have to move too far to capture this photo.

This was a surprise. We ran into this young raccoon while hiking this week. He looked so confused .. it was about 8:30A and he looked lost. I don't think he was very old.

What a beautiful Viceroy Butterfly. It was about to rain so we cut hour hike short. We also so at leaast one Monarch but missed the photo.

This Great Blue Heron has been hanging around spot for a few days. This time I also got a shot as he flew away. They are beautiful in flight.
