Flicker

The sky was very cloudy and the lighting did me no favors. This is a Northern Flicker but I could not get a good photo. I almost didn't share it, but they are not always great photos. Regardless, one cool bird.

Kestrel

This is an American Kestrel. For some reason I struggle capturing good photos of this spoecies of bird. This is not a bad photo, but the focus was just not perfect. Of course, I saw him when I was driving down a coutry road and I stopped for the photo. I guess it works.

A Cold Hike

I don't know if you can tell, but it was cold when we took this hike. Maybe not the coldest hike this year, but cold enough. Technically, it's not even winter yet. Stay warm, friends.

Winter Jay

I didn't get a great photo of this Blue Jay but considering the lighting it was not bad. It was a long shot too, but it is the best I could capture on this day and time. It was not making much noise like they usually do.
