Black And Gold

We finally had some warmer weather this week. Before it returned to the cold weather again, we had a great hike. I was surpirsed at how many American Goldfinch we saw. This is just a couple of the photos we snapped. What a beautiful bird.

Just a Cow

These are the fist Cowbirds we have seen this year. Two males but I am sure there was a nearby female .. I just missed the photo opportunity. That happens.

Hello, Mr Jay

While we have seen a few Blue Jays recently, we have not been successful at photographing one. It was a cold day but I was so happy to get this photo.

A Different Sparrow

I was surprised to see this White-throated Sparrow while hiking this week. They are a very cool bird and I love that little yellow mark on their head. Very cool.

They don't all have the yellow lore .. check out the one in the 2nd photo.

A Yellow Throat

Photographing this Yellow-throated Warbler was very difficult. He moved around constantly, is very small, and was way up in a tree directly overhead. I move to a slightly better location but I could not talk him into holding still for a photo. 😂
