Entertain Us, Please

What a beautiful photo. There is so much more to this than just what you see.

We were hiking at Stillwater Prairie Reserve near one of the ponds when we saw this pair of geese approaching. Their landing on water is always so beautiful. Teresa captured the couple in her photo below.

They stayed while we photograpned other birds. A few more geese arrived.

When we drove off, they all flew away. Kind of cute, but I guess they were just there to check us out.

This Will Do

While hiking along the Miami River last week we saw three Great Blue Heron. THat was the good news. The bad news? We didn't get a single photo. I had to pull up this old photo just to honor their beauty.

Trumpets

I was surprised to see these two Trumpeter Swans hanging out in the Miami River. We thogut we saw them a few days ago when were were driving over the river on our way home one day. They are beautiful.
