Please Take My Photo

I love photographing woodpeckers. One of the most common woodpeckers around here is the Red-bellied Woodpecker. This one was in a tree right off the hiking trail. I love these photos. I could hear him asking me to take his photo🤯.

More Blue

I shared the photo of the female a couple days ago. Today I wanted to share these photos of the male Eastern Bluebird. The blue is beautiful. I think we are going to head back to this site later this week and see if they are still there. I kind of doubt it, but we will see.

Interesting Lunch

A different day, a different hiking location .. but more Goldfinch. This time we were at Hobart Urban Nature Preserve. Kind of looks like they are feasting on the seeds .. but reminds me of a certain virus. 😬

The Bluebirds ..

We saw several Eastern Bluebird while hiking at Maple Ridge this week. The temperatures were great, and the birds were active. This one is a female. Beautiful photo.

Downy Woodpecker

We hiked along the Great Miami River from the Farrington Reserve south for a couple miles. This Downy Woodpecker was entertaining. He was jumping around like crazy ... looking for bugs I suppose. So cute.
