What a fun photo of a Dark-eyed Junco. I guess he realized it's winter.

The day I took this photo the temperatrue was 7°F. When we added some black oil sunflower seeds to the mix the birds went crazy. This dark-eyed Junko and the sparrow were so excited for some high-energy food that they seemed to line up to refuel.

We are seeing more Dark-eyed Juncos now. I am sure they have been around but we have not seen many until the past week.

We are not seeing as many Dark-eyed Juncos as we were a few weeks ago. This happens every spring. Bring on those warm temperatures.

We are still seeing Dark-eyed Juncos. We expect to see the first of the migrating birds any day. I also expect to see 'eagles on eggs' in our local nest any day too. I guess we are going to have a cold air mass 1st, but I am ready for spring.
