In The Grass

This is not where I expected to see a cardinal. We often see them on the ground, but the grass was a tall.

I do not capture very many photos of swallows, but this is a funny shot. It was hot and the sun did not do me any favors for this shot, but that mouth .. wow.

A Pollination Meetup

We are starting to see even more Monarchs. This was cool .. not just one, but two! I can’t get enough of this. The summer is going so fast, but I guess I have complained about that enough.

Go Get ‘em

I love the detail in this photo of this Widow Skimmer.

I am a big fan of this skimmer (and most of them). Why? They eat mosquitoes.

Widow Skimmers are predators that prey on other insects such as mosquitoes. They catch their prey using their legs and use their fangs to bring prey into their mouth. Wikipedia.

That sounds like something stright out of SciFi. I am glad they are only a couple of inches long. Imagine if they were people size. No thanks.
