What a surprise. Teresa was first to see her .. she was in a tree about 75 to 100 yards north of where we were hiking. We were at Garbry Big Woods Reserve taking a short hike on a busy day. Until I got a good zoom and could look at the photo I was not sure what we were looking at. Yes, it is a Osprey.
I have photographed an Osprey at Big Woods once before but that was a few years ago.
We tried to get closer but she flew away. Her wingspan was amazing. What an amazing sight.

It is not easy to see this American Robin. The last few days we have not seen many birds. Robins are like old faithful .. they seem to always be willing to let me take a picture and there will I am not seeing any birds.

As of late we are not seeing many ducks. It was great to carch up with this Mallard on the Miami River. His colors are muted but the blue sure stands out.
