The Carolina Chickadee stays through the winter. I guess they are more robust than they look.

There was two .. one had already crossed the road as we drove up. This one waited for us to leave, but when we stopped to take a picture he decided to cross. Young and curious.

When I went out to take these photos, I was going to capture a few photos of empty nest. Well, look close .. there is an eagle in the second nest, and a bird in the top one too. The photo below is the eagle in the tree next to the eagle nest. They will have eggs in the nest late next month.

I was frustrated with this photo. I tried several times to get a good focus but it just was not going to happen. So, I did some small edits and shared it anyway. Sorry for the lower quality photo. 😳 For the record, it is a Northern Flicker.
