Attack Of The Hackberry

This was fun. We have seen this behavior of the Hackberry Emperor butterfly before. They are attracked to humans it seems, likelky the sweat. In an older post we have photographed them on our arms and hands. This one was on Teresa's pants. I had several of them attempt land on my head, face and neck. I did't try to stop them, but they never really were successful.

In The Trees

I captured this photo of this Northern Cardinal while he was hiding out in a nearby tree. This is not an easy shot, but it came out good.

A Purple Carnivore

This is a male Eastern Pondhawk. It's a dragonfly, but I have not taken many photos of a male Pondhawk. The color was amazing and the photo does not do it justice. The female has much more green. They eat other insects .. a true canrivore.

Beautiful Buckeye

We have seen a few more Buckeye butterflies since the last one I shared. The colors are beautiful.

This Is My Territory

As I have written about before, the Eastern Towhee is very agressive at protecting their space. I could hear this one making sure to claim his territory. And that look .. 😳
