A Purple Carnivore

This is a male Eastern Pondhawk. It's a dragonfly, but I have not taken many photos of a male Pondhawk. The color was amazing and the photo does not do it justice. The female has much more green. They eat other insects .. a true canrivore.

Hey, A Question

Earlier this spring we saw several Eastern Comma Butterflies, but this one is a Question Mark Butterfly. It is to tell the diffference if you don't know what to look for. Its all in the dots on thw open wing. Very cool!
