Squirrel Fun

We are taking a lot more hikes now that spring weather has arrived. While we see a few birds, the thing we see most seems to be squirrels. They are really happy to have this amazing weather. It's 🥜 to watch them. Often we see 2 to 5 of them playing their version of tag.

A Lean Robin

If you have been watching my post this winter you will recall a few photos of the robins and how well insullated they were. They were plumb. I saw this one early this week .. much leaner. Yes, spring is here!

Can’t Hide

It has been a while since we saw a Northern Flicker. We usually see a few over the winter months but not this year. Sadly I did not get a great photo of this one. He was not able to hide.

In the same area we could hear a Carolina Wren. We looked all over but could not locate her. I really wanted that photo, but it did not happen. Soon!!

A Red-Winged Pair

I saw this couple while hiking this week. It's a happy pair of Red-winged Blackbirds. It is the 1st female Red-winged Blackbird I have photograpned this year.
