Can’t Hide

It has been a while since we saw a Northern Flicker. We usually see a few over the winter months but not this year. Sadly I did not get a great photo of this one. He was not able to hide.

In the same area we could hear a Carolina Wren. We looked all over but could not locate her. I really wanted that photo, but it did not happen. Soon!!

A Red-Winged Pair

I saw this couple while hiking this week. It's a happy pair of Red-winged Blackbirds. It is the 1st female Red-winged Blackbird I have photograpned this year.

Way Up There

We continue to see a large number of Northern Cardinals. Both of these males were at the top of the trees but in two different locations. There is one photo from each of us. I love cardinals.
