Surrounded By Life

Many look at this pond and the surrounding trees and only see winter. Some see no life .. just the bare trees and the lack of life. The reality is there is still so much life here. It may be hard to find, but it is here. And in a few months, the green will return, as well as many species of birds, insects and all forms of life. Nature is beautiful and so amazing.

Interesting Lunch

A different day, a different hiking location .. but more Goldfinch. This time we were at Hobart Urban Nature Preserve. Kind of looks like they are feasting on the seeds .. but reminds me of a certain virus. 😬

Just Laying Around

This tree has been in the same spot for a long time. It is starting to decay quickly. I love this type of photo. It's not fancy .. just nature at work.

The Bluebirds ..

We saw several Eastern Bluebird while hiking at Maple Ridge this week. The temperatures were great, and the birds were active. This one is a female. Beautiful photo.

Blue Skys and Light Cloulds

I don't remember where we were going, but I love the sky in these photos. I shot the first photo with my iPhone somewhere south of Piqua, and west of Troy (Ohio). For the most part, the corn and soybeans have been harvested, which makes for beautiful skylines.

The second photo was taken on a hike at Stillwater Prairie Reserve. We have had some amazing weather this week .. between days of rain. The sun, blue skys and light clouds speak kto me .. much more than snow😶.
