Goldfinch

This is a nonbreeding male American Goldfinch. They lack that bright yellow of the breeding male.

We have not seen many finches lately so I was very happy to capture this photo.

Give Me A Minute …

We saw several of thse Carolina Chickadees but this was the only photo I captured. Sometimes they will just not hold still for a photo.

You get a feel for the small size of the bird when you see him beside the walnut. 🤯

Sunflower Monarch

We were walking near our home one day last week when we saw this monarch on a sunflower. I love this photo .. I tried to blur the background but I was not successful. It's still a good photo.

Silver-Spotted

Sometiems I think skipper butterflies look more like moths than butterflies. This is a Silver-spotted Skipper. The pattern on the wings is really cool.
