Gold .. As In Goldfinch

I was looking at this American Goldfinch but my mind quickly moved to noticing the falling leaves. The Buckeye trees are starting to drop their leaves already. Boo.

Oh, last observation ... look at the fly on his eyelid.

Bright Red On Green

This Northern Cardinal was flying around in the trees where we were hiking. I was struggling to capture a photo until he perched in this bush. I wasted no time capturng a few photos.

‘I may be small, but my concert is sold out’

I love the tail of the Song Sparrow. It's not exactly true but I think their tale is unique for sparrows. I mean some other sparrows ave it but I love how it looks.

She looks like she is performing. Indeed, her song was beautiful.

Blending in?

I guess this Blue Jay was tring to blend in or just find something to eat. With those bright colors blending in is not really an option. He was also having a little spat with a pair of woodpeckers.
