I can't tell you how often I have seen a Great Blue Heron standing on one leg. Must be relaxing.

I knew they were around becuase I have been hearing their cat like call on the last few hikes. Today, I photographed this Gray Catbird. They are a very plain bird, but they are sure interesting.
