Interesting Lunch

A different day, a different hiking location .. but more Goldfinch. This time we were at Hobart Urban Nature Preserve. Kind of looks like they are feasting on the seeds .. but reminds me of a certain virus. 😬

The Bluebirds ..

We saw several Eastern Bluebird while hiking at Maple Ridge this week. The temperatures were great, and the birds were active. This one is a female. Beautiful photo.

Downy Woodpecker

We hiked along the Great Miami River from the Farrington Reserve south for a couple miles. This Downy Woodpecker was entertaining. He was jumping around like crazy ... looking for bugs I suppose. So cute.

Nuthatch Gymnastic

We saw this White-breasted Nuthatch while hiking at Farrington Reserve last week. Yes, I still get excited when I see one of these guys climbing around in a nearby tree. So interesting to photograph.

Incoming Gull

When we drive up to the Grand Lake St Marys we can always count on seeing a number of American Herring Gulls. I captured this photo as this one flew over us.
