Photos Don’t Age?

I am embarrsed to admit that I forgot to share this photo. It has been in my draft box for some time (since April), and I am just now getting around to sharing it.

This Northern Cardinal is not out in the open, but it was still a nice shot. I guess it is a good thing that photos don't age.

Not A Butterfly

We were actually hiking with a group looking for butterflies when I saw this female Northern Cardinal. She flew to a tree that was not far from where I was standing so I snapped a few photos. I love cardinals.

A Slow Day

I almost missed this Blue jay. We had been hiking for a while and had not seen much. It is that time of year when there are fewer birds and I really was not expecting much. We had heard a jay but could not locate him. Teresa sighted this guy near the very top of this large tree.

Goldfinch

This is a nonbreeding male American Goldfinch. They lack that bright yellow of the breeding male.

We have not seen many finches lately so I was very happy to capture this photo.
