A few weeks back I was hiking with Teresa while trying to create a video for Macstock. As it turned out, I did not inlcude the clip of this Gray Catbird in the video. I really love how these birds sound so much like a cat. It is ironic that a bird can sound like a cat. Wild!

The Annual Gathering?

It seeme like there should be a joke about a tree full of Starlings. Maybe this is the annual gathering. I only photographed this tree full of them .. there were more in other trees.

Magpie

We were in Utah this past weekend. Our grandson was in the hospital with a nasty bug. He has Cystic fibrosis (we have three grandchildren with CF). While we were visiting, we had a visitor. What a beautiful Black-billed Magpie. I shot the 1st photo and Teresa captured the second.

The other photos .. well, grandma and grandpa loving on one of the grandchildren. I forgot to remove the mask. They allowed us to visit in the garden which is outdoors. I will not get into a discussion on the C word in this blog.

Hey, What A Surprise Find

This is a female Magnolia Warbler. What a surprise. They are only in this area when they are migrating. I wish I had seen a male too. I am so grateful for the opportunity to see this beautiful bird. ❤️

It had been a few weeks since either of us has photographed an American Goldfinch. That is sad .. so I'll make it right with these two captures from last week.
