An Upright Nuthatch

Normally, when I photography a White-breasted Nuthatch it is climbing on the side of a tree, often sideways or upside-down. . This is a great photo of a Nuthatch. ❤️

Update: I was thinking Nuthatch because I saw a few of them at this same spot, but this is not a Nuthatch. It is a Tufted Titmouse. I guess that is he is upright :). I will not change the title, but will acknowledge Dyna Edwards for catching this. Thank you, Dyna.

A Stealthy Robin

Teresa photographed this American Robin. The Robin’s were very active this week. I love this photo. This Robin seems to believe she is out of our view, but as you can see, we had no problem capturing a couple of photos.

Looking At You, Dude

It has been a while since I captured a good photo of a cardinal. These photos are a little dark, but the cardinal was so beautiful. In that second photo, he was looking straight at us ... at least it seemed like it. Fun!

Sapsucker Surprise

We had just wrapped up a nice hike at Charleston Falls Preserve. As we were walking near the entry to the trail, I noticed this woodpecker. I was really surprised when I was able to get a better view and discovered that it was a sapsucker. To be more specific, I believe this is a female Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.

Nature is full of surprises.

Warbler?

I believe this is a Warbler, but I really am not sure. There are a large variety of warblers and I can’t tell what this is. It looks like a Yellow Warbler or a Yellow-rumped (Mytlie) Warbler. I had trouble getting a good photo so a good identification was difficult. What do you think?
