Sapsucker

Based on what I can see, I believe this is a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker .. even if you can't see the yellow. I took a few photos, but I was not able to capture a photo of the belly region. This is one cool bird.

Sapsucker

What a surpise! This is a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. I didn't notice when I took the photo but when I got home I was really surprised to see the yellow. How cool.

You Sapsucker

Adjustments.jpeg

I am about 99% confident that this is a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. Yes, it is a member of the woodpecker family. I have never photographed one around here before. In fact, I have never photographed one anywhere.

In the second photo, you can make out the yellow-washed underparts. It’s not a great shot, and you have to zoom in to see it. Trust me, it is yellow. That is the key to Identifying her.
