Osprey

Over the last few years I have photographed an Osprey maybe 4 or 5 times. They have always been from a distance and generally not great photos. We were hiking the bike trail at Farrington Reserve one day this week when Teresa sa thisn Osprey. She was in a tree where we have often seen Bald Eagles. This was a special opportunity as he was feeding and we watched him fly over the river, catch lunch, and dine in a nearby tree. How cool (unless you were a fish in the river).

Winging It

This one is a Viceroy. Yes, it is not a monarch. There was a couple of them but this is all I was able to get .. one viceroy on a trash can. 😂

I never get tried of photographing Pearl Crescent butterflies. This time of year they are usually out in large numbers.
