THis is a Spring Azure butterfly. We see a lot of them this time of year but they are not easy to photograph. They are very small (about the size of a dime) and always on the move.

I had to follow this Northern Mockingbird around to get a photo. He didn't want to hold still. I don't konw what that is on the post .. I will have to take a second look and see if it's still there next time I am in the area.
I did notice he has his lunch.

It has been a while but this Red-bellied Woodpecker made up for lost time. What a beautiful bird.
When I heard him I was concerend that I may not be able to locate him. Thankful he was in this dead tree and easy to find.

I love the details in this photo. This is a Cabbage White Butterfly ... we all see them in our yards this time of year. They flutter around and we don't think much of their presence .. but they are really cool.

I don't get excited about starlings. This is a Common Starling .. and she is not alone. The tree where we saw her was full of them. The don't travel alone.
