We saw a couple Pearl Crescent Butterflies this past week. Frankly it caught me by surprise. The temperature was in the 50s which is a little cold for butterflies. It was sunny but didn't feel like butterfly weather.

There is more color to this Tree Swallow than I was able to capture in this photo. They are beautiful and so fun to watch fly. They dart around over ponds and rivers while feasting on insects.

It took us a long time to locate this Warbling Vireo. She was located near the top of this tree .. a very tough shot. This is the first time I have been able to photograph one this year. I have heard one many times over the last couple weeks, but not pictures. This was a success with a vireo.

We see so many Red-winged Blackbirds but when i asw this one I had to snap a picture. The colors seems brighter than normal. Maybe that is just the season, but it sure was beautiful.
