We saw three of then dart across the road at Garbry Big Woods Reserve. They ran up this trail. When I was able to get to where I could see where they went, only one visible .. just watching me. There was one to the left in the woods, and one in the grasses to the right. I took this photo.

This was a surprise. I took the photo on a hike, but didn't recognize it as a Golden-crowned Kinglet. I have seen them in warmer weather, but today is cold.

I saw this Red-bellied Woodpecker in the tree. It was clear he was about to take off. It quickly moved to the feeder. Same bird, but looks so different.

I could hear them while hiking, but could not tell how many there were or locate any of them. I guess I could say this on many hikes, but the Blue Jays were so loud and active.
After looking for what seemed like an eternity, I saw this one. I love the colors. So beautiful .. and yes, so loud.
