A Swallow

When I saw this bird, I knew right away it waws a swallow. The more I looked at the photo, the more I questioned it's identity. I have concluded it is a Northern Rough-winged Swallow. I could be wrong .. but I am sure.

Saddlebags?

This is another skimmer .. a Red Saddlebags. This is a new one for me. I am sure I have seen one before, but I do not recall photographing one. I love the wings.

Getting Comfortable

This American Goldfinch seemed to be getting very comfortable. I love the deep black and contrasting yellows.

Last update: Yesterday my son and daughter-in-law welcomed Violet Joanne to the family. She is beautiful.

Wood Nymph

This is a Common Wood Nymph Butterfly. We usually see them earlier in the spring. This one landed on the hiking path. I love the rich brown color.

I really wanted to capture a photo with his wings openned but no such luck. Next time!
